Meet Dr. Kimberly Weir, L.Ac., M.Ac.
Owner, Acupuncturist, and Chinese Herbalist
Having grown up in the Chicago suburb of Rolling Meadows, Illinois, and achieved my Bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin, Platteville, majoring in Animal Science, I had no idea that I would eventually become passionate about Chinese Medicine. For ten years, I worked in medical research for the Medical College of Wisconsin, and my research work is published. It was at that point that I believed that everything had to be proven.
What I Thought Was Impossible… Until I Saw It
Then I had taken up horse showing at a farm that had extremely expensive show horses. When the horses would go lame, the farm manager would call in an acupuncturist. At that time in my life, I thought that was the most ridiculous thing they could do without calling a veterinarian first. I had to watch and learn why. As I observed the horse being treated, it would immediately get up and run off as if there had never been pain in the first place. This was my first introduction to acupuncture.
